Calculation methodology

How we approach formulas, precision, and quality.

Formula selection

We use established mathematical relationships and commonly accepted unit definitions. Pages identify assumptions when they affect interpretation.

Precision and rounding

Calculations may use more internal precision than displayed. Results are rounded for readability, so reverse conversion can produce a small difference.

Dynamic information

Currency and time-zone behavior may depend on external data or browser APIs. Values can be delayed, unavailable, or changed by their source.

Testing and corrections

We check representative inputs, boundary values, unit relationships, and responsive layouts. Confirmed errors reported through our contact page are corrected.

Responsible use

High-impact decisions require additional verification. Review the calculator disclaimer.
